Their Deal: Senior Discount is to "punk band" what Hugh Grant is to "sex addict" - it's certainly true, but they have so much more to bring to the table! Senior Discount has been known to have a wild, energetic live show for fans and non-fans alike.
They've also been known to create videos that are popular all over the country, sometimes following their lives, insane stories, sketch comedy, and a type of comedy that combines the stunts of Jackass, the absurdity of Monty Python with the laugh-out-loud results of Jack Black.
But most of all, Senior Discount is known to make you expect the unexpected. In the three years they've been around, they have produced an uncategorized type of music that will bring you to every corner of your emotion and stretch your interest from one end of rock to the other. Their debut CD "There Were Four Who Tried" has been called "a bridge between the polished and the raw" and "what sounds like a new band with every next track!"
Senior Discount breaks down the boundaries and limits themselves in no way whatsoever.
Go out on a limb and try out something new.

Their Story: Long ago, towards the end of the summer of 2002, Kevin Earl Silva was desperately pining for a band. He needed a bumbling, naive, well-meaning drummer and a not-so-bumbling, naive, or well-meaning guitarist. A little stupid punk band. That's all he wanted. He was already friends with Christian and Chuck Staton, the incredible cousins that had already, with the help of the VBW, taken Bristol/Warren by storm, and he knew they possessed the power to help him. Christian was already steadily, but surely learning the drums, and Chuck had an acoustic guitar in his attic for years (not that he ever learned to play it...). Finally, in July, they stood together as one. As they gathered in Kevin's basement, they giggled mindlessly for hours as they learned the incredibly simple songs Kevin had written (but the giggled mostly because we prank called Chuck's dad at work). As they began to practice more and more, they thought "Yes, yes, this is it! This is the sound we want if we NEVER want to become popular in the least!" and have since perfected that sound to a tee. In late 2003, Tom Wells, being the confused homosexual that he is, somehow wandered into a Senior Discount practice, never to be seen again. Well, he was seen again, but he was seen as a member of Senior Discount. They had a foursome. Senior Discount has survived through break-ups (each member has been kicked out of the band at least once - four times for Kevin), and has seen other local bands, although cotton-mouthed and veiny-eyed, try to ruin the band's reputation. Nothing has broken these four. Chuck, Kevin, Tom and Christian continue to create music that they wish was much faster and they continually regret writing "Tom's Not A Virgin Anymore". They may be slow, they may be un-dependable, but ladies and gentleman, put your hands together and keep your legs open, for Senior Discount.

Bands Senior Discount has played with: Catch 22, A Wilhelm Scream, Someday Providence, Boys Like Girls, Big D and the Kids Table, Can't Face The Falling, Suburban Legends, the Street Dogs, Darkbuster, the Superspecs, River City Rebels, Bad Larry, M80, Monty's Fan Club/Monty Are I, Whole Wheat Bread, Slik Willy, Daly's Gone Wrong, Badfish, Lemon Lime Tennis Shoes, Gym Class Heroes and many more.
